


Youth Sailing
PYC supports the future of sailing and an active life style for youth through a youth sailing program. Each year new and slightly seasoned junior sailors an participate in structure sailing lessons and activities.
Welcome Youth Sailors

The PYC program is designed for youth between 8 and 18 years of age and at any level of sailing experience, including none at all.
The program is open to the extended families of PYC members and (who else) and is typically conducted on 5 to 6 Sundays during the summer sailing season.

There is no fee for the youth sailing program, as it is generously support by the PYC membership. For information contact:

2023 Schedule
The first four classes will have a short (30 minutes) dry-land period, followed by time on the water (90-120 minutes). The fifth class will be a fun regatta for the kids to demonstrate their skills. The topics of the class are:

Class 1: Sailing Basics and Boat Set-up: Sunday June 4 at 12:00

Class 2: Tacking and Gybing: Sunday, June 25 at 12:00

Class 3: Reading the Wind: Sunday, July 9 at 12:00

Class 4: Boat Control and Rules: Sunday, August 6 at 12:00
