June 12-13; July 24-25; August 28-29
We now offer our basic keelboat classes earlier in the season and they are smaller classes. You will learn basic sailing skills, rigging, safety, sail vocabulary, knot tying, and much more. These classes cost $350 ($250 for PYC members).
One-Day Sailing Class for Beginners at PYC (for adults)
Sundays, June 20; July 18; August 8
The purpose of this class is to introduce beginning and inexperienced sailors to the basics of sailing. This course is an ideal prerequisite to ASA Basic Keelboat Classes for those who have never sailed. The cost is $150 for a 6-hour day of sail instruction.
Introduction to Spinnaker Sailing Class at PYC
Sundays, June 27; July 25
It’s every sailors dream: to sail into the sunset under the beauty and splendor of a spinnaker. In this one-day class students learn the basics of spinnaker terminology and handling. The cost for this class is $150 for a 6-hour session.
Additional PYC Sail Education Classes: “Basic Docking Skills” and “Mastering Your Own Sailboat”
Back by popular demand! These two sail education classes (sponsored by PYC’s Sailing Sisters and the Adult Sailing program) have been so popular that we’ve decided to offer them again this season. The cost of each class is a voluntary donation to the PYC Sail Education program. Please watch your e-mail and the PYC website for times and dates.
