Ahoy and Welcome Aboard
The members of PYC are always happy to meet new crew that want to join our great community. Don’t believe me. Then just ask any of them; we have and here is what they say.
“I joined for the facilities and activities (more on that later) but I stayed for the people.”
At PYC, you will find a laid back, friendly group who participate and enjoy the many offerings of the club. Like a little quiet solitude? There is nothing like coffee and watching the sunrise from pavilion or the harbor. Or for many a sunset cruise does the trick. Maybe you are looking for a bit of laughter, music, and conversation. Join your fellow members for late night around the campfire, or a raft up on the lake, and there are several social events during the year. Maybe you like a little competition to take your mind off work. We have a great club racing series, with opportunities for those at all levels of sailing.
The good news is this wonderful community comes with one of the nicest sail only facilities within hundreds of miles. As a private club, PYC offers great security and privacy - a real bonus if you happen to have children or grandchildren - that are always welcome. Just look at our playground, and our partners that specialize in youth sailing. We also have partners providing adult sail education on site. So sailing curious, or a seasoned sailor, there is a place for you in the PYC family.
Whatever your facility dreams, we probably have it: Great slips and dry storage -- Wonderful clubhouse with pavilion and shower facilities -- Best views on the lake and a great sand beach.
Don’t have a boat? Not an issue, get checked out on a club boat to get started. When the time comes, you will have the expertise of 100’s of sailors to help you find a great starter boat.
