Busy times at the club

Our sailing season is kicking into high gear and there is a lot of activity at the club. The upcoming July 4th holiday should be a great time. The lake levels are slowly coming down and everyone is doing a great job to ensure that the Club is in great shape.
The holidays are always busy times at PYC and we expect a large turnout as usual. With a large turnout we enjoy some blessings and some challenges. The blessings are; it’s a great time to see a lot of friends that we don’t see at the Club on a regular basis and there are usually a large number of boats on the water, which to me is always a great sight. The challenges are; with a large turnout there are issues in crowd control and keeping the facility clean and looking good.
For this we look to you, the membership, to help meet the challenge of maintaining control and keeping the Club clean. Please observe the practice of “leave it cleaner than you found it” if at all possible. The kitchen is for everyone to use, so be considerate of your fellow members. The refrigerators are not a substitute for every ones coolers. There just is not physically enough room to store every ones food for the entire weekend.
Please follow the Club rules concerning dogs. Do not let them run free on the club property. There are just too many people and as time goes by too many pets, so we really need to observe the rules. Be considerate of others at meal time as not everyone likes to share dinner with the family pet.
So, enough of the rules, come join us at the Club. Go sailing, racing, or just watch the activities. Enjoy another great weekend at the best facility on the lake. I look forward to seeing you on the water.
